Service: “Work done for others” - Phi
Theta Kappans are committed to improving the community in which we live. We
perform community services such as hosting blood drives, donating to charities,
and cleaning up our local highways.
Leadership: “To tend toward a certain
goal” – To lead by example is the motto of many members of Phi Theta Kappa. Members
are provided opportunities to enhance their leadership skills within the Society
and community.
Scholarship: “The methods of a scholar” -
In order to become a member of PTK, one must obtain a G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher
and have completed 12 credit hours with his/her school. Phi Theta Kappa also
promotes scholarly activities within the Society and the community.
Fellowship: “The sharing of similar
interests, ideals or experiences” - All
work and no play is not conducive to a friendly and fun environment. We believe
that participation in activities such as movie nights and pool parties encourages friendship and
develops a positive chapter outlook.
