SJRCC Open House gives high school students personal look at college life
St. Johns River Community College recently welcomed local high school seniors to its annual Open House to inform the potential freshmen of educational opportunities, scholarships and financial aid while giving them a more in-depth look at what college life would be like.
Students from Orange Park, Middleburg, Fleming Island, Clay and Ridgeview high schools and the Bannerman Learning Center toured the campus and attended presentations on the Associate in Arts (transfer) degree as well as programs in respiratory care, computer science and architectural design and construction technology. Students were treated to lunch and a drawing for a $250 scholarship to SJRCC. Ridgeview High School student Maxwell Manire was selected as the scholarship winner.
