SJRCC PRESS RELEASE September 2008 Palatka Campus nursing facility gets 'revived' Nursing students on the Palatka Campus show their anticipation toward training in the new nursing facility. The renovations began in January and were completed just in time for the fall semester. The facility - located on the first floor of the library building - also provides the Workforce Education Department with new offices for faculty and administration. First-year students stand ready to enter the new Intensive Care Unit, a new feature exclusive to the Palatka Campus program. The ICU includes a state-of-the-art Human Patient Simulator (HPS) where nursing students can practice life-saving procedures on the full-sized computer-driven mannequin. Return to SJRCC home page.
