Orange Park Campus holds mock election
 Students on the Orange Park Campus recently participated in a mock presidential election. Student activities coordinator John Kirkpatrick joined efforts with Elaine Meyer from the Clay County Supervisors of Elections Office to encourage students to become registered voters.
Approximately 163 students participated in the election complete with a voting booth, voting tickets and an electronic counter. The event generated 50 new registered voters.
The event concluded with 100 votes for McCain/Palin, 61 votes for Obama/Biden and two votes for "other."
All students who participated in the election received a T-shirt.
