Instructor John Green releases second book; signings/TV appearance scheduled
St. Johns River Community College speech instructor John Green, Ph.D. relies upon experience from 30 years of marriage counseling in his second and most recent book, “Thou Shalt Knot in Love and Marriage: Tying the Knot by Exchanging Frank and Formative ‘F’ Words.” Using humor, quotations and personal stories, the book explores interpersonal relationship skills for today’s marriages.
Green will be interviewed on WXJT’s Saturday Morning Show at 8:00 a.m. on July 25 and will hold book signings at the Main Branch of the St. Johns County Public Library on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27, and at Borders located on Southside Boulevard in Jacksonville from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1.
Green earned his bachelor’s degree in social work with an emphasis in history from Florida State University. He earned his master’s degree in Christian education from Emory University and his doctorate in speech communication from Florida State University. He has taught in high school, community colleges and universities, and has been teaching at SJRCC since 2000.
