SJRCC names radiologic technology director

St. Johns River Community College welcomes Andrew Brandler as the new director of radiologic technology. Brandler joins us from Florida State College at Jacksonville where he was the radiologic technology program manager for three years.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Brandler holds a bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology and a master’s degree in psychology/gerontology from Hood College in Maryland. He has been a Florida resident since 1997.
Brandler’s experience also includes four years as an adjunct professor for FSCJ as well as eight years working in the imaging department at Baptist Medical Center. His credentials include certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Department of Health. He is also a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Florida Society of Radiologic Technologists.
SJRCC’s radiologic technology program is offered at the St. Augustine campus with selected clinicals in health care facilities within the regional area. Upon successful completion of the degree requirements, qualified students will be eligible to apply to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination in radiography, as well as the certification exam administered by the State of Florida.
