Florida School of the Arts STUDENTS RECEIVE REGIONAL NOMINATIONS
The musical Little Shop of Horrors, recently performed at Florida School of the Arts, was entered as an associate entry with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. This national theater organization recognizes excellence in college theater and also provides scholarship opportunities to qualified students. The nominations are generated from a qualified theater respondent who selects students worthy to participate in the next years' regional festival.
Student nominees from the Little Shop of Horrors production team are Alexandra Hernandez for stage management, Bryan Sellers for lighting, and Steven Mignone for costume design. The Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Award nominees are Tyler Humphrey (Seymour) and Tara Reid (Audrey). "We are thrilled with the student nominees. These students are now invited to exhibit their work at the regional festival and to compete with colleges and universities across the Southeast," said Ed Kelly, theater instructor. Congratulations to all!
