SELECTION PROCESS

SJRCC welcomes applications from all qualified individuals. Nominations and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. However, to ensure full consideration, individuals should submit completed applications by July 21, 2008.

A selection committee consisting of the District Board of Trustees will begin reviewing applications on July 22, 2008 and will choose candidates to interview by August 20, 2008. Employment is expected to begin in October 2008.


Application Process
Two complete copies of the following should be provided by the applicant to ensure full consideration:

A concise letter in which the applicant briefly states how he/she demonstrates the characteristics in the Candidate Attributes, how the applicant's background and experience will serve as preparation to succeed as president, and how the applicant meets the personal and professional qualifications listed.

A current resume.

The names of five references with positions, addresses and telephone numbers (both business and home).

Copy of transcript for the highest degree completed. Unofficial transcripts are accepted only for review during the search process. Official transcripts of all degrees are required before any offer of employment.
