OFFICE OF DISABILITY SERVICES

  • Getting Started
    The College does not identify students with disabilities on the admission application. Therefore, if you have a documented disability and wish to receive reasonable accommodations, please do the following:

    1. Contact a disability counselor at your nearest SJRCC campus to schedule an appointment to review available services and to determine paperwork needed;

    2. At the appointment, provide current written documentation of your disability from a licensed medical professional following the College's recommended guidelines;

    3. Complete the disabled student classification and services agreement forms;

    4. Discuss confidentiality related needs and academic planning.

STUDENT ID SERVICES

  • Students can obtain their ID card in the Student Activity Coordinator/SGA Office.

  • SJRCC ID cards provide proof of your status as a student at the College.

  • Allows you access to resources on campus like the library, the fitness center and computer labs.

  • Often instructors and/or test proctors will require a SJRCC ID for individuals taking exams.

  • Some businesses give discounts to students with ID cards.

  • SJRCC ID cards are the property of the College. They must be presented (or surrendered) upon request by authorized officials of the College.

  • Students receive their initial ID card for free. ID cards expire every two years and are replaced for free as long as the student is currently enrolled and turns in the expired card.

  • Replacements for lost or damaged cards will cost $5.

  • After a student receives his/her SJRCC ID card, he/she should immediately go to the Library to receive and activate the identification/use barcode.

  • All students must visit the Library to activate their library barcode each term (Fall, Spring, Summer).

  • SJRCC ID cards grant you free access to the SJRCC weight room and all home athletic events.
