1. ACCESS the LINCC Catalog
(This will open in a new window so you can refer to these directions and access our help pages as you use LINCC.
If you have a pop-up blocker, you should turn it off or change its settings to allow pop-ups on this site and LINCC.)

2. ENTER YOUR SEARCH:

Notice the default is "Subject begins with." This is referring to the Library of Congress subject heading.

When searching for an author using the Browse search, you must enter the author's name last name, first

When searching for a title using the Browse search, omit the word A, An or The from the beginning of the title. For example, to find The Shining, just type Shining.

+ Click the Search button.

3. VIEW THE RESULTS:
When you do a Browse search, the results are first presented as an alphabetical list of headings, starting with numbers and punctuation. If you did an Author search, author's names are listed. If you did a Title search, titles are listed. If you did a Subject search, Library of Congress subject headings are listed. If found, your search terms will appear as the second item in the list.

If there are items in the collection that match your search, the heading will be underlined. There will also be a number in the No. of Recs column. This number designates how many items there are for that heading (author, title or subject).

+
After you click a heading, you will get another results list. This lists the titles:
