Welcome to St. Johns River Community College

International Students - F1 (student) Visa Applicants
Because of the time necessary to clear admission requirements, an international student should begin the admission process at least (4) FOUR MONTHS PRIOR to the term of initial enrollment.

Internationally educated citizens, permanent residents, or others who do not require a student visa need to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated. Please follow the directions below and the link in the first bulleted paragraph below which mentions "transcripts."

In addition to the ADMISSION requirements that apply, international students must also comply with the following:
  • all transcripts must be in English and evaluated by one of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. Agencies; and

  • proof of proficiency in oral and written English as demonstrated by a score of 500 or above on the paper pencil version of the TOEFL, or 173 or above on the computerized version; and

  • a financial statement (applicants are required by law to have sufficient funds for living expenses, tuition, and fees for a minimum of one year. These funds must be available when the student registers for courses each term. Financial aid is not available through the college); and

  • a physician's statement of health; and

  • proof of F-l (student) status.

For more information, contact Admissions/Records by e-mail or by phone (386) 312-4030.

SJRCC recommends that international students purchase health insurance.
To locate an insurer, leave company name blank and select "life and health insurer" under company type.
