To Enter Points:

If you are on the Desktop screen, highlight Stat/List Editor and ENTER .

If you are on the Home screen: APPS. Then ENTER on Stats/List Editor.

 

If you get a pop-up screen for folder selection, make sure that your current selected folder is main, then ENTER. Enter the x-values in list1 and the y-values in list2. ENTER after each value.

 

To Graph the Points:

 

1. After you have entered the points: F2 Plots, and 1: Plot Setup. Then F1 Define. Leave the Plot Type as Scatter and the Mark as Box. In the x-box type list1. (Use alpha to access the (white) letters. The letter T has its own button.) Then use to get to the y-box. In the y-box, type list2. Then ENTER twice.

F2 WINDOW. Set the window so that you will be able to see your (x,y) points.

REGRESSION

 

To Find  and Graph the Regression Equation:

 

  1. Get back into Stats/List Editor. Then F4 Calc and 3: Regressions. Use 2: LinReg(ax+b) for linear regression, 4: QuadReg for quadratic regression, 5: CubicReg for cubic regression, and so on.

 

  1. In the pop-up screen, list1 should be in the X list and list2 should be in the Y list. In the “StoreRegEqn to:” line, use and then to select y1(x). ENTER and then ENTER again. You will now have the coefficients of the regression equation. Finally ENTER.
