COURSE FORMAT:

A list of available projects will be determined by the performing arts faculty each semester. Each student must complete either ONE major project or TWO minor projects in order to fulfill the course requirements. The designation of major or minor is determined by the faculty supervisor for that project. Each student is responsible for arranging his/her projects with the appropriate faculty supervisor.

ATTENDANCE:

By enrolling in this class the student agrees to attend all rehearsals, costume fittings, photo calls, and/or meetings for the given production which the production team deems necessary, including evening and weekend rehearsals unless such rehearsals interfere with another class in which the student is enrolled.  All other conflicts including work and personal will only be excused at the discretion of the supervisor of the given project.

GRADING/CRITERIA FOR EVALUATION

Each student will be graded by the primary faculty supervisor for each project.

Final grades will be calculated on the total points earned:

If a student is removed from a project for failure to attend required meetings, rehearsals etc. O points will be awarded. It is the student’s responsibilty to make all necessary arrangements with employers etc. regarding evenings and weekends to ensure that he or she will be able to fulfill the assignment.  Students enrolled in evening or weekend classes need to make arrangements with the class instructor regarding tech week availability before they accept an assignment that requires that they be present at rehearsal during tech week.
